Vaughn Road Veterinary Clinic offers our patients the option of minimally invasive surgery and diagnostics. These procedures are performed at our sister site, Carriage Hills Animal Hospital.
Minimally Invasive Diagnostic & Surgical Procedures
Minimally invasive veterinary surgery offers a smaller incision and less damage to surrounding tissue. These patients recover quicker and experience less pain than with more conventional surgical procedures.
- Endoscopy—Uses fiber optics to visualize your pet’s oral cavity, esophagus, stomach, upper small intestine and the colon, allowing biopsies and foreign objects removed in a minimally invasive manner.
- Laparoscopy—Endoscopic surgery using rigid scopes to visualize the internal organs through a very small incision.
Laparoscopic surgeries include spays, cryptorchid neuters, gastroplexies, and some exploratory surgeries. We are also able to take biopsies with this technology and visualize areas of interest without making a large incision. These minimally invasive procedures offer rapid healing and less pain for pet patients.
